I loved painting and drawing from childhood and won a national high school art award when I was 14. Upon completion of O'Level Art, I undertook a Foundation Art Course, where I mainly painted in the life room and was offered a lot of encouragement by Neil Shawcross and my work was exhibited in Carrickfergus Town Hall (1979). However, my parents had different plans for me and guided me towards a career
in nursing. Now years later in life I have started painting again and joy comes with having been recently accepted in to the UWSA!!!!
